Hello everyone. I hope that this blog entry finds each of your respective Summers going in a productive, wholesome fashion. If not, hang in there, the bumps are where we get fueled-up…and that’s a fact, I promise. At least, that’s what I choose to believe during my 60 hour workweek. You see, I pay the bills by working a landscaping job. The work is heavy and hard with little time for breaks. It’s not easy, and often times, I get angry and frustrated because it seems as though I’m burning-up precious life-energy doing things that–if money weren’t an issue–I would absolutely not be doing.
But here’s the reality that I’ve chosen to buy in to regarding all of this: The tough times are where I get my motivation. They are where I find the reason(s) to create music, write books, and, in essence, create great change. If there were nothing pushing me, what reason would I have? And, as I live in a subjective world of relativity (hot/cold, up/down, good/bad, pleasure/pain), what other mechanism for change could there possibly be?
So be it then, have an awesome Summer, and…bring on the change.
Announcing the Launch of My 3rd Book:
“Something to Give Back–The Chronology of Awakening”
I’m thrilled to announce that more than 4 years after I completed the first draft of my first book, “Something to Give Back–The Chronology of Awakening,” it is finally finished and available to the public. This book was a true labor of love, and, and one point in time, I thought it might be better if I didn’t publish it at all. Yet, here it is.
There are a few things that you might find interesting about the book. First, the book was actually written to/for me. With the exception of the prologue and epilogue (which were written to prospective readers), it was written in first person (i.e. I, me, mine), and thus, reads like a 270+ page affirmation of guidance and intention.
Second, the first 100 or so pages are an autobiographical account of the first 30 years of my life. You might learn a few shocking secrets of mine. This is because, years ago when the idea for this book began to form in my mind, the original intent was to create a body of work that would shed light on all of the dark little secrets that I was constantly protecting, so that I might finally be rid of them, and move on with my life. For example, did you know that I was once A.W.O.L. from the US Army? It’s true, and it was a most pivotal period of time in my life. CLICK HERE to read that entire story excerpted from Chapter 7.
“Something to Give Back” is available now in Hardcopy (paperback), Kindle E-Book, and Free PDF versions. See the left column of the home page, or click on Noah’s Books.
